I shot about 8000 photos in 6 days at the CrossFit Games. I also shot about 12 hour of video, mostly athlete interviews. The two cameras – Canon 5D Mark III and 5D Mark II.

This photo was snapped just as the run, muscle up, snatch event started. Rich Froning won this heat. This was the “top” heat.

For the second year, CrossFit Inc, Coach Greg Glassman, Dave Castro, Tony Budding and a gang load of other all-star CrossFit.com employees have brought the CrossFit world to television, via ESPN. Tonight, was a great night, watching the first installment of the 2012 CrossFit Games on Direct TV channel 209 (ESPN 2). The 2012 CrossFit Games will air more than 100 times between now and the 2013 CrossFit Games.

Two of these bad boys (Canon 600EX-RT), a Canon 5D Mark III, and five practice shots later, I got the photos above. It is a pleasure to use these new flashes. The best compliment I can give these “speedlites”, is to buy a third.
