I predicted Kyle (left) to be a serious contender in 2009 – 3 years later Kyle Kasperbauer takes 3rd place at the CrossFit Games. Rich Froning (right) looks to be the favorite for 2013; a one man dynasty ?

For the second year, CrossFit Inc, Coach Greg Glassman, Dave Castro, Tony Budding and a gang load of other all-star CrossFit.com employees have brought the CrossFit world to television, via ESPN. Tonight, was a great night, watching the first installment of the 2012 CrossFit Games on Direct TV channel 209 (ESPN 2). The 2012 CrossFit Games will air more than 100 times between now and the 2013 CrossFit Games.

The 2012 CrossFit Games must have had 300 media/media related personnel. I remember hearing that the official CrossFit media team took over 40,000 stills on Friday (day 2). This guy in the photo is a photographer from Peru. These LED signs that many of us squatted in front of, made the 90+ degree stadium even hotter.

We got up at 3:45 AM and made the treck to Camp Pendleton. The athletes showed up a couple of hours later, got in the water, road bikes, and ran. The day was long and filled with great photo opportunities.
